Hey, everyone!

I’m Meredyth and I have the honour of serving as the 2019 Panhellenic President! I’m in U1 studying Honours History, with a minor in Indigenous Studies. I was born and raised in Toronto, but Montreal has quickly become a second home despite the terrible winters.

Though I was tentative to join a sorority, I don’t regret my decision in the slightest – it might have been one of my best choices to date. I’ve become incredibly close with so many wonderful and unique women not only in my sorority, but in each of McGill’s five chapters. Greek Life has provided me with a plethora of leadership opportunities and shown me an entire side of McGill that I wish I’d been a part of earlier. I’ve never felt more unconditionally loved and accepted by anyone outside of my family than I do by my sisters.

Catch me holed up in the law library, hanging out in the C4 Starbucks, or brunching at Rosewood with my sisters. Whatever I’m doing, I know that my sisters, and my #Panhel sisters, are there for me – through midterms and LSATs, at yoga or BdA, or in Montreal or back in Toronto I am constantly embraced by McGill Sororities.

Hi, everyone!

My name is Carolyn Valleau and I’m a U1 English Literature student taking a double minor in French and Indigenous studies. I am originally from a small town just outside of Toronto. In my free time I love to read, run, listen to country music and cheer for the Toronto Maple Leafs on a Saturday night. Coming from a small town I was nervous to move to a big city like Montreal where I didn’t know anyone. Joining a sorority helped me find a community within my new surroundings and gave me a sense of home in a totally new place. I look forward to planning recruitment to help girls feeling the same way find their home and as much happiness as I do through Greek life.

Hi y’all,

My name is Zoe and I’m in my second year at McGill, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Computer Science. I was born and raised in the small coastal town of Gaspé, Quebec. My hobbies include hiking, playing piano, re-reading Pride and Prejudice, and impulsively buying succulents.

Even before I arrived at McGill, I had some vague interest in joining a sorority but was rather intimidated by the whole process. Luckily enough, I got the chance to befriend some amazing girls in my first year who encouraged me to give the sorority life a try, and it was probably the best decision I made that year! I have had the chance to meet so many smart, successful and, above all, kind women who welcomed me with open arms. The Panhellenic life is full of so many opportunities for friendship, personal growth and truly finding your place in this wonderful university and city. I'm always looking forward to the chance to welcome new women to this community and help them find their second family among sisters!

Hey there!

My name is Shweeta and I’m the VP Finance for Panhel this year! I’m a U2 student studying Computer Science and English, with a minor in Psychology.

I’m a total TCK (third-culture-kid): born in Malaysia and raised across several continents. My passions are dance & music. I procrastinate by watching standup comedy. I live for matcha lattes, Harry Potter trivia, vine compilations, and long plane rides.

At the risk of sounding cliché (but clichés are clichés for a reason, I guess), joining a sorority was one of the best decisions I made in my first year. Every member in our community is inspiring in her own way –– it is truly something to be surrounded by women who you admire and who will motivate you to be the best version of yourself. Being a part of Greek life brought with it countless opportunities, bonding experiences, memories I’ll never forget, and sisters/mentors who I’ll treasure forever.

I truly feel like I’ve found my home here (at least until I inevitably move again lol), and I wish the same for you.

Hey, I’m Zoë!

I’m in my second year at McGill and I’m majoring in Psychology with a minor in Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies. My hometown is Miami, Florida where I love going to the beach. In Montreal you can find me at a dog park with my yorkie, Toby, or studying at every cute cafe I stumble across.

Before coming to McGill, I looked into Greek life. But, I wasn’t sure I actually wanted to join a sorority until I saw Panhel tabling at activities night and I’m so glad I rushed. Joining a sorority has introduced me to so many strong, intelligent, and inspiring women, both within my own sorority and throughout the others. My sisters are my best friends, my support system, and push me to be the best version of myself that I can be. Joining Greek life has granted me the opportunity to meet amazing people in the sororities and the fraternities with whom I have established really close friendships that help make my university experience the amazing ride it’s been so far. Greek life helped me make Montreal a second home and if you’re interested in rushing, I encourage you to do so. It never hurts to check it out and we’ll always be here to welcome you with open arms!
